Oscar Zabala is a New York & Barcelona-based artist creating works in both digital and physical mediums. His generative art comes to life through audio-visual performances, installations, and mixed-medium art objects.
Marrying visuals, sound, and architecture to create intimate environments of self-reflection is at the heart of his practice, drawing on influences from rave culture to explorations of visionary states, archetypal symbols, and the emotional language of color as gateways into the subconscious.
Zabala’s commissioned work harnesses emerging technologies, such as machine learning algorithms, to create site-specific visuals that have been presented internationally at music festivals, stadium tours, and installations for fashion houses. His work is collected globally and includes a permanent installation in THE CLOUD by Käfer at BMW Welt in Munich, a landmark fine-dining destination within one of the city’s most iconic architectural spaces, reflecting a practice that resonates across both underground culture and global audiences.
