Oscar Zabala is a New York-based multidisciplinary new media artist creating works in both digital and physical mediums.  His generative art comes to life in the form of audio-visual installations, light sculptures, and mixed-medium prints.

Marrying visuals, sound, and space to create intimate environments of self-reflection for the viewer is at the heart of his practice.  His recent solo show ‘Above/Below’ at the Museum of Future Experiences (MoFE, New York) combined all of these mediums into a multi-room installation and exhibited a culmination of over a decade of his works.  His exhibits synthesize a wide range of influences including rave culture, visionary states, eastern and gnostic symbolism.

Zabala’s commissioned work consists of the use of emerging technologies, such as machine learning algorithms, to create site-specific visuals that have been shown in music festivals, stadium tours, and audio-visual installations for fashion houses.
